This company is quick to settle any claims and has a tendency
not to dispute complicated claims.
Pet Plan This is the company
that was the first to develop Pet Insurance in the UK. They
have many different policies covering Dogs, Cats, Rabbits
and Horses. Take care to read the small print on the documents
as they have a tendency to deduct an excess as well as a percentage
of any claims that you may make.

I decided to go with Animal
friends insurance as they certainly beat all others on price
and the policy offered covered everything. The other reason
for choosing this particular company was that they work with
Animal welfare groups and all their net profits go to helping
animals. They have a discretionary fund that gives grants
to help animals all over the world, which is great idea. They
offer two types of insurance, which are Standard or Gold,
which I will now list below the cover and amounts.

for cats and dogs. The first two months are free of charges.
When you claim they deduct a single fixed excess charge per
condition once each year which is more generous than some
of the other companies. Vet 2 Pet does not increase the premiums
as your pets gets older and they offer premium free months
when you insure more than one animal with them. You will have
to phone to get a suitable quote as charges vary depending
on where you live and the type of dog you have.
Some of the treatments, if
your Pet has been unfortunate enough to get involved in a
road accident or if he has developed a serious disease can
be expensive. Although we try to keep costs to a minimum sometimes
it is a good idea to insure your animals so that they can
have the very best of care. There are many insurance companies
that cover Dogs, Cats Rabbits and Horses and it is difficult
with the range of policies available to advise what is the
best one for your needs.
Most Policies will insure
you for Veterinary fees and third party liability if your
pet was the cause of damage to property or to injury to some
person. It is always sad to loose an animal but the Policy
will cover the cost of replacing your pet if he is lost or
stolen or if he should be unfortunate enough to die as a result
of an accident or illness. Some Policies will cover the cost
of boarding your pet if you have to go into hospital or the
cost of your holiday if you have to cancel it because your
pet needs urgent surgery. Most companies will now insure your
animals when they are traveling with you in Europe if you
are taking advantage of the Pet Travel Scheme.
